Dance

Requirements for the liberal arts minor in Dance

To earn a minor in Dance, students must complete a minimum of 20 credits including:

1. Required Courses (10 credits)

• course Dance Improvisation/Choreography I (2)

• course Dance History and Appreciation (4)
  or course Black Dance History (Exploring the History, Theory, and Practice) (4) 
  or course Contemporary Dance History: Revolution and Revisionism (4) 

• course Choreography II (4)

2. One Course selected from

• course Kinesiology for the Dancer (4)

• course Choreography III (4)

3. 6 Credits from any other DAN courses

Applicable Majors

All Majors can declare this Minor with the exception of the following Major(s): Dance, B.A. and Dance, B.F.A..
