Requirements for the liberal arts minor in Spanish Language and Literature

20 credits of Spanish (SPN) at the 2000 level and above, including

• course Second Year Spanish I (4)*

• course Second Year Spanish II (4)*

• course Spanish Grammar Review (4) 

• course Intermediate Spanish Conversation and Composition (4) 
  or course Business Spanish: Communications and Journalism (4) 
  or course Spanish for Technical Professions (4) 

*Students who place out of course or course can complete the overall 20 credit requirement with any of the courses listed below.

Choose 1 of the following

• course Introduction to Spanish Literature (4)

• course Introduction to Spanish-American Literature (4)

• course Spanish for Psychologists and Social Workers (4)

• course Modern and Contemporary Spanish Literature (4)

• course Spanish-American Literature before 1888 (4)

• course Spanish-American Literature after 1888 (4)

Note

At least 12 credits of those required for the minor in any of the languages must be taken at Oakland University.
