Program Requirements

Requirements for a liberal arts minor in Sociology

To earn a minor in Sociology, students must complete a minimum of 16 credits in Sociology, distributed as follows:

1. Required Course

  • course Introduction to Sociology (4)
    or course Introduction to Sociology through Health and Medicine (4)

2. A minimum of 12 additional credits in Sociology, 6 of which must be at the 3000-4000 level.

Applicable Majors

All Majors can declare this Minor with the exception of the following Major(s): Sociology, Sociology, B.A., Concentration in Linguistics, and Sociology/Anthropology.
