Requirements for the liberal arts minor in Philosophy

To earn a minor in Philosophy, students must complete a minimum of 16 credits in Philosophy, including:

1. 1 Logic Course Selected From

• course Introduction to Logic (4)

• course Advanced Symbolic Logic (4)

2. 1 Ethics Course Selected From

• course Introduction to Ethics (4)

• course Introduction to Ethics in Science and Engineering (4)

• course Introduction to Ethics for Healthcare Professions (4)

• course Introduction to Ethics in Criminal Justice (4)

3. 1 History of Philosophy Course Selected From

• course Ancient Greek Philosophy (4)

• course Medieval Philosophy (4)

• course Early Modern Philosophy (4)

• course Twentieth Century British and American Philosophy (4)

• course Study of a Major Philosopher (4)

4. Complete 1 Additional Course in Philosophy; Course must be 3000 Level or above
