Requirements for the Certificate in Japanese Competency
A competency certificate will focus on basic cultural competency and communication in limited professional settings.
Students qualify for a Certificate in Japanese by completing 12 credits at the 2000-3000 level in Japanese (JPN).
Note
Students interested in this certificate should contact an Adviser in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Credits earned for a language certificate may be applied, as appropriate, to a major or minor in the same language.
