Requirements for the Certificate in German Competency
A competency certificate will focus on basic cultural competency and communication in limited professional settings.
Students qualify for a Certificate in German Competency by completing 12 credits at the 2000-3000 level in German (GRM). Students may take course Holocaust and European Literature towards the completion of the Certificate in German Competency.
Note
Students interested in this certificate should contact an Adviser in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Credits earned for a language certificate may be applied, as appropriate, to a major or minor in the same language.
