Course Description
Relationship between opera and drama, and the literary sources used by composers for such musical works, through an examination of a number of representative works in the opera repertory from 1600 to 1945. Repeatable for additional credit with different content. Satisfies the university general education requirement for the capstone experience. Satisfies the university general education requirement for a writing intensive course in the major. Prerequisite for writing intensive: completion of the university writing foundation requirement.Prerequisite(s): MUS 3331, MUS 3332 MUS 2214, MUS 2215 and WRT 1060 or equivalent with a grade of (C) or higher
