Elementary General Music Methods
Course Description
Principles and practices of teaching music, based on experiences in the elementary general music classroom. Emphasis on the development of musical understanding through an interactive, constructivist approach, including study of current trends in education and music education.Additional Requirement(s): Major standing in music education. Two hours per week participation in on-site field observation and teaching required.Prerequisite(s): MUS 2214, MUS 2215, MUS 2441, MUS 3332
