Information Systems and Healthcare Informatics
Course Description
Introduces students to the nature of healthcare data and healthcare information management by focusing on the use of information systems in healthcare. Topics include: components, types and development of information systems in healthcare. Relevant information technology issues such as security, privacy and ethics will also be introduced. Prerequisite(s): CSI 1200 or MIS 1000 with a minimum grade of (C) in each course.
