Course Description

Analysis, design, and reliability of bolted joint systems under static and dynamic loads. Topics include torque-tension-turn formulation, process control, service and environmental loads, fatigue, elastic interaction, vibration loosening, creep relaxation, and corrosion. With laboratory experiments. Generally offered fall. Prerequisite(s): ME 4300 and major standing.
