Fundamentals and technology of machining, forming, casting and welding. Mechanics of cutting. Molding of polymers. Tolerancing and surface topography. Manufacturing considerations in design. Economics of manufacturing. Process assembly and product engineering. Lab to be arranged. Generally offered fall. (Formerly ME 4700). Approved Slash Course.
