Course Description

Examines issues of balance of payments adjustment, exchange rate determination, and the open economy. Topics include: theories of payments and foreign exchange, causes of disturbances and processes of adjustments in the balance of payments of the foreign exchange market under alternative exchange rate regimes, international capital markets, foreign debt, monetary integration, and the international monetary system. The course may not be substituted for FIN 4190.Prerequisite(s): ECN 2010 and (ECN 2000 or ECN 2020) with a minimum grade of (C) in each course
