Course Description

Introduction to evolution, biological diversity, and ecology. Covers (1) micro- and macroevolution including the origin and history of life; (2) biological diversity of microorganism, fungus, plant, and animal phyla including taxonomy, structure, and function; and (3) behavior, ecology, and conservation biology. Satisfies the university general education requirement in the natural science and technology knowledge exploration area. Prerequisite(s): BIO 1200 recommended.
