SON Direct Admission Requirements:

  1. Students must have applied and been accepted to OU no later than October 31 of student's senior year of high school;

  2. Students must have earned a cumulative high school grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher at the time of application to Oakland University;

  3. At least one semester of high school Biology completed prior to the senior year with a final course grade of B or higher; and

  4. At least one semester of high school Chemistry completed prior to the senior year with a final course grade of B or higher.

  5. As part of the Holistic Admissions Process, supplemental materials will be required in order to be considered for direct admission to the Nursing Track which include an essay, a recommendation form and a character assessment.

Students offered direct admission will have to place out of Math 0661 prior to new student orientation and students will have to place into WRT 1050 prior to orientation. Placement information can be found at course placement
