Global Environmental Governance

Course Description

Overview of inter-related environmental and resource issues at the regional and global levels. Current institutions, laws and policies for addressing issues including global warming, climate change, biodiversity/species decline, trade/environment linkages, water resources, depletion of global fisheries and rainforests. Identical with ENV 3540. Satisfies the university general education requirement in the knowledge applications integration area. Prerequisite for knowledge applications integration: completion of the university general education requirement in the social science knowledge exploration area. Satisfies the university general education requirement for a writing intensive course in general education or the major, not both. Prerequisite for writing intensive: completion of the university writing foundation requirement.Prerequisite(s): WRT 1060 or equivalent with a grade of (C) or higher
