Course Description

This course explores the nursing perspective related to wellness, health promotion and cultural diversity among emerging populations. Emphasis will be placed on exploring the philosophical foundations of health promotion and disease prevention, including the concept of social justice to eliminate health disparities. Empirically based research findings related to health promotion will be analyzed and used to guide care planning for diverse populations across the lifespan.General Education Requirement(s): Satisfies the university general education requirement in U.S. diversity.
