Nursing Care of Communities and Populations
Course Description
This course explores the role of the professional nurse in promoting health and addressing disparities within communities and populations. Emphasis is placed on interprofessional collaboration, emergency preparedness, policy advocacy, and population health strategies to enhance outcomes for diverse groups. Clinical experiences provide opportunities to integrate theoretical knowledge into practice. Satisfies the university general education requirement in the knowledge applications integration area. Prerequisite for knowledge applications: completion of the general education requirement in the global perspective knowledge exploration area. Satisfies the university general education requirements in U.S. Diversity.Prerequisite(s): NRS 3025, NRS 3026, NRS 3022.
