Course Description

Continued study of conduction, convection and thermal radiation heat transfer; exact solutions of one-and two-dimensional steady conduction; introduction to finite difference methods; transient conduction; thermal boundary layers; natural and combined convection; radiation processes and properties; radiation exchange between surfaces. With laboratory. Generally offered winter.Prerequisite(s): ME 3500 and major standing.
