Course Description
This course examines the nature, causes, and impacts of language-related disorders across the lifespan. Students will explore a broad range of developmental and acquired conditions, including aphasia, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), motor speech disorders, voice and fluency disorders, and language impairments associated with neurodegenerative diseases. The course emphasizes the linguistic, cognitive, neurological, and social aspects of these disorders, with a focus on current approaches to assessment and intervention.
