Course Description
An in-depth theoretical, practical, and comparative examination of women, gender, and sexuality in Asian societies. Topics include the role of women in Asian developing economies, marriage trends, sex selective birth practices, sex reassignment as influenced by local cultural heritages, traditional third gender roles as shaped by established religious practices, and the domestic politics of gender and sexuality.General Education Requirement(s): Satisfies the university general education requirement in the global perspective knowledge exploration area.
