Course Description
History of China's last great dynasty from its founding by the Manchus in 1644 through its powerful early emperors to its final collapse in 1911. Course includes discussion of traditional Chinese culture and institutions, territorial expansion, the Opium Wars and the 19th century revolutionary movement. Prerequisite(s): WRT 1060 or equivalent with a grade of (C) or higher.
