A comparative analysis of European societies: the articulation of absolutism and constitutionalism, the emergence of the European states system, the origins and impact of modern science, the culture of the baroque and the development of commercial capitalism.Prerequisite(s): WRT 1060 or equivalent with a grade of (C) or higher.
