Course Description

Covers the collective and individual experiences of African-American women from slavery to the present, including the quality of family life, economic roles, and their activities in women's civil rights and political organizations. Identical with WGS 3822. Satisfies the university general education requirement in U.S. diversity. Prerequisite(s): WRT 1060 or equivalent with a grade of (C) or higher.
