Course Description

Advanced Mathematical Analysis for Economists. This course is designed to teach students the language of mathematics and how to use it to better understand economics. Emphasis is placed on the application of mathematical concepts to economic models. The course includes, among other concepts, the mathematics of, and economic applications of equilibrium, slopes and derivatives, differentials, optimization, constrained optimization and integration. Applications include problems in consumer and producer theory, general equilibrium, econometrics and other relevant areas.Prerequisite(s): ECN 2010 and (ECN 2000 or ECN 2020) and (MTH 1222 or MTH 1554) with a minimum grade of (C) in each course
