Course Description

Semiconductor crystal structures, Schrodinger Equation and energy bands of charges in semiconductors. Charge concentration and conduction mechanism. Bipolar junction devices. Metal and semiconductor contacts, MOS devices. Photonic devices. Integrated circuit blocks, fabrication technology basics. Device modeling and simulation techniques. *Approved Slash Course. Credit can only be earned for ECE 4130 or ECE 5130.Additional Requirements: major standing.Prerequisite(s): ECE 3100
