Information Retrieval and Knowledge Discovery

Course Description

This course covers the models for information retrieval from text and multimedia databases. Methodologies for database indexing and visualization are discussed. Statistical and deterministic algorithms for discovering knowledge from databases, including, decision trees, clustering, regression, and neural models are covered. Cross-listed with CSI 5810. *Approved Slash Course.
