Course Description

Principles, practices, and tools used in planning and implementing IT projects involving hardware, software, and networks to create a product, service, or result. Using the framework of IT project life cycle, the course covers various aspects of project initiation, planning, scheduling, monitoring, and quality control. Selecting and procuring IT systems, project team management, cost and effort estimation, risk management, and mini-case studies leading to a real-world team project. Formerly CSI 4410. *Approved Slash Course. Credit can only be earned for CSI 4430 or CSI 5430.Additional Requirement(s): Major standing. Prerequisite(s): CSI 3370
