Course Description
This course will introduce students to principles of microbiology with emphasis on microorganisms causing disease in humans. Topics covered include specimen collection and processing, epidemiology and infection control, host-microbe interactions, antimicrobial susceptibility, identification and diagnosis of agents of human infections.
