Vertebrate Zoology Laboratory
Course Description
Introduction to evolution, biology and classification of vertebrates including early chordates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. Emphasis on a comparative approach to examining the anatomy, physiology, evolution, ecology, behavior, and natural history aspects of vertebrates. Activities include examination of living and fixed specimens of representative vertebrate genera, including the dissection of larger specimens as appropriate.Prerequisite(s): BIO 1200, BIO 1201, BIO 1300, each with a grade of C or higher.Corequisite(s): BIO 3320
