Course Description
Explores the concept of law across different societies and cultural contexts and the comparative development of legal institutions in relationship to social structure. Examines the organization of the legal system and profession as instruments of social control and how laws affect behavior. Identical with SOC 3460. Offered every other year.Prerequisite(s): (SOC 1000 or SOC 1010) or SOC 2200 or AN 1111*Approved Cross-list Course. Credit can only be earned for AN 3460 or SOC 3460.
