Theory/Practice in Language Testing
Course Description
Investigate language assessment cycle, tools; identification, evaluation, placement of English learners (ELs) in proficiency appropriate levels/programs; apply assessment results in selection, modification, design of age appropriate materials to meet ELs needs; investigate strategies preparing ELs for standardized tests; investigate legal obligations and impact on policies on education of ELs. Meets with ALS 5538; credit will not be received for both ALS 4438 and ALS 5538.Prerequisite(s): ALS 4317 or ALS 4418 or permission of instructor
