Financial Accounting
Course Description
Explores fundamental accounting theories and concepts, flow and recording of economic information, accounting procedures, and communication and analysis of financial results. Emphasis is placed on identifying, measuring, valuing, recording, reporting, and analyzing accounting data. Global and ethical considerations are interwoven throughout the course. Data analytics concepts are introduced including data visualizations and interpretations used in financial analysis, decision-making, and evaluation of organizational success.Prerequisite(s): MTH 1221 or MTH1331 or MTH 1441 or higher and MIS 1000 with a minimum grade of C in each course, and WRT 1060 (prior to or concurrently).Â
